Relaunch, re-commitment, realistic aims,REVOL!

I've never really pushed this blog

I even had a hard time finding it when googling, which may be problematic...

also I've always thought of the beer blog world has been over-saturated

but I do occasionally get people asking 'where's the (video) blog

So I'm coming back to Liberte, egalite, beer not tea
& hoping to write a little every Thursday, now why Emperorbevis?
In these posts will be a list of beers sampled that week, where they are bought with the price and a small evaluation.
This means, if like me you have a small disposable income, you not only will be able to take advantage of any bargains I've found but also get an idea if you'd enjoy some of the higher ticket ales.

After all, IMHO, the most expansive beer is one you gain no enjoyment from, regardless if you paid
50p, £1, £5, £10 or £50.
There will be some other anecdotes, stories of ale recent & long gone, news & beer boor rambling.

Okay so to bring this back up to speed, last night was four cans, and a nice little collection
Effortless~ Red Willow 330ml can £1.95 from the Cooperative, a cracking little NZ pale that has a bit more citrus than the usual grape/gooseberry and a bigger beer than the 3.7 percent abv.

Inhaler~ Magic Rock 330ml can £2.20 from Bargain Booze, a funky hop forward session IPA that doesn't totally fall into the trap of a sesh having no malt base in the flavour, not thin & a cracking beer.

OffShore~ Sharpe's Brewery 330ml can £1.99 from the Cooperative, I’m not a big lager fan but there is a little pear drop flavour and a hint of apple and that does evoke memories of Cornwall

Nightshift~ Fierce 330ml can £2.20 from Bargain Booze, these cans of Fierce from BB have been a bit hit & miss but this squarely delivers your archetypal BIPA and was a great full on ale to end the night.

Tuesday night  was five bottles & not nearly as much beery fun though it was compensated by some 90's indie & 80's post punk punk lmao
Brainstorm~ Spitting Feathers 500ml bottle £2.20 (or 2 for £4) from the Cooperative, citrus and biscuit, so a bit lime cheesecake like making a fun little beer
Steam Beer~ Shipyard 500ml bottle £1.29 from B&M's not quite bitter, not quite lager, not quite good, not quite terrible. The ideal beer if you have guests & don't know their drinks preference & don't really give a fuck about them.
Old Dog~ Weetwood 500ml bottle £2.20 (or 2 for £4) from the Cooperative, normally you get some cracking beers from Weetwood but this tastes of nothing, old dog? Old shite more like NEXT
Post Horn~ Coach House 500ml bottle £2.20 (or 2 for £4) from the Cooperative, despite being five percent & labelled an ESB there is nothing extra special about this bitter, not for me, dull post bollocks.
Repetitive Strain Injury~ Spitting Feathers 500ml bottle £2.20 (or 2 for £4) from the Cooperative,
can you get RSI by shouting this is flavourless, toss why the fricken' hell did I waste money on it?

Beer of the Week~

other than the rebranded Bombardier (now maltier IMHO) the other beer
this week was Bread Board~ Tiny Rebel 330ml bottle £1.50 made from left over bread but much tastier than Toast's session IPA with hops you can notice and obviously a good malt backbone with 10p going to charity too.

Well I'm going to call it quits for now, it's payday tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some more beer boor ramblings for next Thursday.
